BIG WALK Yellow Split Maze: Pre-Position Before Starting the Timed Ball

Route one player to the receiver and one to the tomato cannon before touching the timed ball, then make one short throw-and-slot relay.

Direct solution

Find the yellow maze from Red Tower and bring two players to its rear entrance. Do not pick up the tomato ball yet. Send player A through the right-hand route to locate the circular receiver and leave a lit lantern there as a marker. Send player B back to the entrance, then through the left-hand route to the tomato cannon. Only when A is waiting at the receiver should B pick up the timed tomato ball and throw it through the opening. A catches it and immediately seats it in the marked circle before it bursts. If it expires, keep both players at their stations and restart only the final throw.

Where to go

From the top of Red Tower, use the binoculars to locate the large yellow maze on the surrounding island. Approach the back of the structure; its split routes lead separately to the circular receiver and tomato-ball cannon.

Before starting the timer

  • Bring at least two players and one lit lantern for marking the receiver.
  • Reach both final stations before anyone picks up the tomato ball; touching it starts the timer.
  • Agree that the receiver player calls “ready” only when standing beside the target circle.

Spot the yellow maze from Red Tower

Use the tower’s high view or binoculars to identify the yellow structure, then travel there together.

Both players are outside the same large yellow maze before splitting up.

  2. Lit lantern at the rear entrance of the BIG WALK yellow maze

Enter from the back with a lit lantern

Circle to the rear entrance, take one of the available lanterns, switch it on, and enter without touching any tomato ball.

The maze passages are visible and the timer has not started.

Send player A right and mark the receiver

Take the right-hand route to the circular ball receiver. Place the lit lantern beside it so the target remains obvious in the dark, then wait there.

Player A can point directly at the receiver circle and has a clear catching position.

Send player B left to the cannon

From the rear entrance, take the left-hand route and continue until the tomato cannon appears. Do not pick up its ball yet.

Player B is at the cannon while player A remains ready at the separate receiver.

Start only after the receiver calls ready

After player A confirms position, player B picks up the tomato ball. The timer begins immediately, so face the handoff opening before lifting it.

The timed ball is active and the thrower is already aimed toward the waiting teammate.

  6. Timed tomato ball seated in the BIG WALK yellow maze receiver

Throw, catch, and slot the ball immediately

Player B throws at full power through the opening. Player A catches or picks up the ball and places it straight into the marked circular receiver before the timer expires. Collect the released fourth red blob and return it to Red Tower.

The timed ball remains in the receiver, the puzzle completes, and the fourth red blob becomes available.

Player-count plan

2 players

One waits permanently at the receiver and one owns the cannon. This minimizes movement after the timer starts.

3-4 players

Keep the same thrower and receiver. Extra players can light both routes or act as a middle spotter, but should not pick up the timed ball early.

Common mistakes

  • Picking up the tomato ball before the receiving player has found the circular target.
  • Sending both players down the same maze branch and discovering the other station after the timer starts.
  • Running the ball through the maze instead of using the short throw between separated stations.
  • Leaving the receiver unmarked in darkness and losing time searching for the correct circle.

How to recover

  1. 1.If the ball bursts, do not rerun the maze: keep player A at the receiver and reset only player B at the cannon.
  2. 2.If the throw misses, call where it landed; player A should collect it only if there is still time, otherwise wait for a clean restart.
  3. 3.If routes are confused, return to the rear entrance and restate the split: right route marks the receiver, left route reaches the cannon.
