BIG WALK Heavy Ball Puzzle: Relay It Uphill Without Losing Progress

Leapfrog two players up the forest path: the next player takes the heavy ball, then the freed player moves ahead to receive it again.

Direct solution

Go to map coordinates 3740, 1620, southeast of Red Tower, and find the dark blue-purple start platform in the forest. The heavy red ball locks its holder in place, so do not try to carry it uphill. Player B stands a short distance uphill and takes the ball directly from player A. As soon as A is free, A walks past B and becomes the next receiver. Repeat this leapfrog handoff all the way to the blue goal pad. At steep ledges, shorten the gap and make the receiver climb first; never release the ball until the receiver can grab it. Put the ball on the blue pad to trigger the completion confetti.

Where to go

The relay is at approximately 3740, 1620, southeast of Red Tower across the ravine and through the trees. Look for a dark blue-purple platform with the heavy red ball at the bottom of a rising forest trail; the matching blue goal pad is farther uphill.

Before touching the ball

  • Bring at least two players; the verified source run uses a two-person relay.
  • Walk the first part of the uphill route together and identify the next safe shelf before lifting the ball.
  • If visibility is poor, leave a lit lantern beside the blue goal pad so the final receiver has a clear target.

Exact steps

    Find the heavy-ball trail at 3740, 1620

Travel southeast from Red Tower, cross the ravine, and search the forest for the dark start platform and heavy red ball. Confirm that the path immediately climbs toward a blue goal pad.

One player can point uphill from the ball spawn and identify the relay route rather than a normal carry route.

  2. Second player staged uphill to receive the BIG WALK heavy ball

Put the receiver one short step uphill

Player A holds the ball and stays still. Player B moves only a short distance uphill, turns back toward A, and stops inside interaction range.

B can place the reticle on the ball while A remains planted below with both hands on it.

  3. Controlled handoff of the heavy red ball between two BIG WALK players

Take the ball before the holder lets go

B grabs the ball directly from A. If the interaction does not appear, B steps closer instead of asking A to throw. Use a controlled drop only when B is already within immediate grab range.

B now holds the red ball, and A can walk again without the ball rolling downhill.

  4. Stationary BIG WALK player holding the heavy ball while a teammate moves ahead

Move the freed player past the new holder

After B takes the ball, A walks uphill past B and becomes the next receiver. Repeat the same take-then-move pattern; only the player without the ball changes position.

The ball advances one safe handoff at a time while the current holder remains stationary.

  5. Heavy-ball relay climbing the steep final forest path in BIG WALK

Shorten every handoff on the steep section

At a ledge or sharp slope, the free player climbs to the nearest stable patch, turns around, and reaches down for the ball. Do not stretch the gap beyond the grab prompt; add more short transfers instead.

Both players remain on the uphill route and the ball never sits unattended on the slope.

  6. Confetti confirming the heavy ball reached the blue goal pad in BIG WALK
    Source time 03:40Temporary frame

Place the ball on the blue goal pad

Continue leapfrogging until the marked blue platform is directly ahead. The final holder transfers or places the ball onto the pad and waits for the completion effect.

Colored confetti fires from the blue pad and the puzzle reward becomes available.

Player-count plan

2 players

Use the verified alternating pattern: one fixed holder and one moving receiver. Say “taken” before the freed player moves past.

3-4 players

Pre-position extra receivers farther uphill, but keep only one person interacting with each ball at a time. Host scaling can add targets, so repeat the same relay logic for every ball that actually spawns.

Common mistakes

  • Trying to walk normally while holding the heavy ball even though possession locks the carrier in place.
  • Throwing or releasing from too far away and letting the ball roll back down the slope.
  • Both players moving at once instead of leaving one stable holder during every reposition.
  • Using long handoffs on the steep ledges when several short handoffs are safer.

How to recover

  1. 1.If the ball drops but is still nearby, the lower player intercepts it while the uphill player keeps the route position.
  2. 2.If it rolls down, stop chasing as a group: one player retrieves it, the other returns to the last stable shelf and rebuilds the relay from there.
  3. 3.If the grab prompt will not appear, keep the holder still and move the receiver closer and slightly downhill until the reticle locks onto the ball.
